“You rip open the envelope and there it is: Another darned photo-enforcement traffic ticket.
The photograph, the zoom-in on the tag, it’s you, baby. Your car. Two weeks ago. Forty-one in a 30-mph zone.
It’s from your favorite municipality. You can pay $40 now or $80 later. You can also contest it, the infraction letter says, and that’s a laugh. You remember seeing that the folks who went down to fight their automated tickets in Montgomery County got convicted 99.7 percent of the time. Like a Soviet election, you think, a sham, a joke, and you, the chump in the parade.
A couple of good women friends of mine suffer from thin hair. Both are over 55 and considered “senior citizens”. They get so frustrated because their wispy hair shows their scalp or doesn’t hold a set. Everyday they have to tease their hair to give it volume and shape.
It’s socially acceptable for men to loose their hair, but for women to look “bald” naturally, or to have “bald” spots from hair loss, is overwhelmingly disheartening.
What causes thin hair in older women? How many hairs have we lost to the proverbial hairbrush?

This is an update to a recent post to something I THOUGHT was a good deal but turns out to be a very deceptive marketing technique.
Articles I read and the video on their website were very impressive. (However, the articles are written by marketing people who tend to benefit from orders originating from the sites.)
By phone, I ordered a SAMPLE of DazzleWhite, aka Beutyclub and/or White Teeth, for $4.95 (as advertised on the Internet). On the phone the sales person, or order taker, tried to upsell me to a recurring subscription for $79+ which I vehemently rejected, saying I was only interested in the SAMPLE. I did NOT want to purchase anything else or to be put into an automatic billing of any kind. I repeated this a number of times!!
So, you want to go organic?
Organic foods are the most nutritional food there is . . . no chemicals, no preservatives.
Organic is the food of choice today.
Many people find the prices for organic fruits and vegetables found in the local grocery store too high. Consequently, they would like to ‘grow their own’.
My organic garden started when my children were small. Not small, however, were the giant sweet potatoes cultivated from rich soil built on fine white ‘sugar’ sand in the heat of South Florida. My little backyard subdivision plot was responsible for a healthy abundance of squash, beans, eggplants, peppers, onions, radishes, cabbage, broccoli, kale, etc.
How Did I Build A Healthy Organic Garden in soil that only supported sandspurs? Let me tell you how I did it and how you can do it, too.

Have you ever run the red light on your way to work or school? You don’t want to be late. You don’t want to waste time sitting at a traffic light.
Now you can make your car invisible to traffic cameras!
Traffic light cameras are all over the Atlanta area, where I live. They’re designed to capture the license plate numbers of cars who scurry through the light as it’s turning red. This is an accident waiting to happen according the highway patrol.

This is in reference to the State of Georgia wanting a bibliography of references from authoritative ’experts’ in the field of automotive, law, and defensive driving for a new Defensive Driving Instruction Manual.
Who or what determines if a person is an authority on a subject? According to dictionary.com (the online ‘authority’ for definitions), the word ‘authority’ can be described as an accepted source of information. So who determines if the source is accepted?
According to iSeries.com (IBM) the term ‘authority’ means how someone is authorized to use an object. It seems anyone can determine authorization of anything to anyone.

“I’ve been working at the Department of Driver Services for 29 years and I don’t consider myself an expert.”
This was the reply by an employee in the executive offices of the State of Georgia DDS when asked what or who determines someone to be an expert.
I was in a meeting, presenting a new Defensive Driving Course entitled “Time To Get Defensive”, which I had co-authored with a 19-year veteran of the State of Georgia’s Defensive Driving and DUI accredited program, and who was also in attendance at the meeting with three DDS executives.

The Blender That Belongs In Every Kitchen!
Never a better blender than this Turbo Monster! The VitaMix will mix your food into one healthy mixture.
When the Internet boom was in its infancy and people were just starting out, I could find information online about my ancestors, old friends and acquaintances, etc. for free.
Today, it’s all business. There’s nothing wrong with that! We all are doing business on the Internet in one way, shape, or form. The Internet has changed the way people do business.
I love the Internet. I love what it can do for me and for my business. But I also love what it can do for my personal life, as well.
I’ve owned a number of Citizen watches over the years. I love the quality. I’ve given Citizen watches as gifts to numerous people, as I wanted the recipients to have the same satisfaction with their watch as I have experienced.
Recently I was looking online for Citizen watches to give as gifts to some special people in my life. There were so many that caught my eye. And, with so many variations in style and bands it was hard to choose.
Looking for a new wireless cell phone? Confused with all the selections?
May I recommend the Blackberry Curve 8330. It’s a sophisticated on-the-go necessity in today’s fast-paced world of Internet and personal connectivity.
My friends and family who have blackberry phones say, “Wow!” about the Curve 8330 which features Internet Browsing, IM, E-Mail, Bluetooth, etc.
Keep up-to-date on your financials, news, weather, music, shopping, calendar dates . . . whatever . . . all from your pocket device.
I found some great reviews online I’d like to share with you:

Back in 2001, I saw an infomercial for a handy little counter-top kitchen gadget called the “Flavorwave Oven”. I bought one. I loved it from the very beginning.Numerous times when I had company and they raved over the food cooked in my little gadget, I sent them one as a gift! Surprise, surprise!
You may see some people who write reviews on it that are not favorable, but my experience has been nothing but positive. So I have to tell you . . .

When I got my Blackberry phone I was excited about setting custom ring tones for my incoming calls. But I wanted to have my own personal “special” rings for special friends.
That’s when I started searching for how to make my own ring tones. YES!
Easy with the right tools.
1. I wrote down the names of my closest friends and those who call me the most.
2. I thought about who they are, what they like, how they interact with me and others.
3. I searched my music files and CDs to find songs that would reflect their personalities. Some people I even asked, “What’s your favorite song?”
