A few months ago a friend told me of a newspaper article that mentioned Cosco as a place to take old movie film to be converted to DVD. She thought I would be interested because that’s what I do! My company, VideoGraphics has been transferring film to digital format for years.
She saved the article for me to read and I was not that impressed. I’ve seen companies come and go for years, all trying to capitalize on a video market. What makes me sad, however, is that people are unaware that they get what they pay for.

I have a friend who loves bluegrass music. He, himself has been playing an acoustic guitar most of his life. A few years ago Doc Watson came to Atlanta and he, his grandson, my friend and I – we all had dinner together before one of Doc’s performances. It was the first time I met Doc in person.
Because my friend has been a Doc Watson fan and an acquaintance for a number of years, I interviewed him about his relationship with Doc.
The below section is that interview which is also an AUDIO MP3 and available elsewhere.

Looking for a great digital camcorder? Shopping in today’s marketplace can be confusing when you’re trying to find the best digital video camcorder with so many to choose from.
We have been investigating the camcorder market for some time now, and after careful research, we have chosen the Canon HV30 as the best value in camcorders today.
Why do we like the Canon HV30 camcorder? For a number of reasons.
1. It’s the best value in its price range. With high definition video capability, it is the most affordable pro-sumer camcorder available. Professional videographers everywhere have applauded Canon for this model’s features. I love the automatic ‘backlight’ feature which allows compensation for backlighting your subject with just a push of a button.
LeMars, Iowa…..”It’s just the beginning of summer, and it’s also just the beginning of a huge number of bluegrass bands and dancers that are coming to Iowa this fall,” says Bob Everhart, the President of the National Traditional Country Music Assn., located in Anita, Iowa, and Director of the largest and oldest old-time acoustic music festival west of the Mississippi River.
Video is fast taking over the Internet where just a couple of years ago connection speeds were not capable of delivering the file entensive content.
Today, however, web video is everywhere. I suppose YouTube was instrumental in exposing the Internet audience to the possibilities of Internet video? Yes, indeed. And because of its proliferation, video is here to stay.
Today’s consumer camcorders are excellent in lens’ quality and functions, and just about every person/family has one. If not, they are either too old to want to fiddle with a camcorder, too poor to spend the money on a camcorder, or too young to even know what a camcorder is.
