Finding Our True Spiritual Identity

Author: Galoo

Butterflies Are FreeEach of us has in the past, or will in the future, stare up at the stars and wonder where we came from. History books are full of records of people searching for their “roots”. Who are we anyway?

Because the answer has been hidden through generations of time, people have failed to recognize it. Doctrine has conditioned our minds into believing someone else’s concept of the beginning of existence and of Life itself. The Biblical scholars want us to believe we came from dust. The scientific community would like us to believe we evolved from apes. Some paranormals should have us believe we came from aliens.

Spiritual Growth In The Traditional Church

Author: Galoo

Butterflies Are FreeFlipping the channels on television one evening brought my husband and me to a Christian station where we paused the remote. By doing so, we heard a “Christian” leader make mention that people of the Buddhist faith would not enter into the kingdom of heaven.

In discovering the Truth that Jesus came to enlighten humanity to the “kingdom of heaven is within” and that “God is no respecter of persons”, one can’t help but wonder how the Christian sect can ostracize those different from themselves? Does not the Bible indicate we are ALL the “sons of Gods, joint heirs with Christ”?

A Spiritual Analogy: Balanced See-Saws, Motionless Swings

Author: Galoo

Butterflies Are FreeIt is the ups and downs that make life interesting and fun. Spiritually speaking, life may even be compared to a playground.

As a child I found myself spending timeless hours in the summertime at the neighborhood park. Monkey bars, see-saws, push merry-go-rounds, swings, and sliding boards were the entertainment of the day. Looking back and remembering the variety of forms the playground took helps me realize the Truth of how life operates.

The Message Of Invisible Spiritual “Truth”

Author: Galoo

Butterflies Are FreeAs a child were you ever fascinated with “invisible” ink where you could write a message to a friend and then have the message “disappear” so no one else was able to read it?

The illusion of “magic” has fascinated us all. It is only in the “mystery” of it – in the unknowing. And, just like the invisible message that lies under the invisible ink, we have a yearning to know what other things are being kept from us. Human nature is inquisitive. Human nature wants to know what it’s missing.

Millionaire Principles For Infinite Supply

Author: Galoo

Butterflies Are FreeSo, you want to be a millionaire? Actually you already are when you realize God’s infinite supply. “Son, thou art ever with me and all that I have is thine.”

So, you ask, “How do I tap into this infinite supply?”

And the answer is, “Let go of all that we currently have.”

Sound silly? Sound impractical? What we already have is of an earthly nature. We cannot fill a vessel already full and so we have to empty it first. But only in our concepts. We must re-educate ourselves as to the nature of supply.

Are We Feeding Our Neighbors Spiritual Meat?

Author: Galoo

Butterflies are FreeGood neighbor? Bad neighbor? Our neighbor on the other side of the fence or down the street? Our neighbor in the next continent? What constitutes a neighbor? And what do we feed him?

We can do more for others by simply recognizing their true identity as spiritual than to give them physical items that deplete. We can recognize that God meets ALL needs, not only ours because we happen to be a good human or that we go to church on Sunday. God is “of purer eyes than to behold iniquity” so why do we think God favors us?

Unlocking Spiritual Truth With Practice

Author: Galoo

butterfly3We all have it buried within the depths of our being. We catch glimpses of it at odd moments, not recognizing what it is. We feel there is something more in life that we’re missing. We ponder a profound thought to grasp its inner meaning. We wonder about the nature of deep spiritual things. Sound familiar?

The reason Truth eludes us is we have not opened ourselves up to receive it on a continuing basis. It is a constant awareness. It is our very life itself!

Truth is like mathematics. . . . .

What Do We Know About God?

Author: Galoo

butterflyIt is in the knowing. To know oneself as a spiritual being, not subject to the ways of the world, is to become truly blessed. This is what we should all be seeking.

It is in the practicing. To constantly keep thought attuned to spiritual things and above the materiality of the world is to open one’s consciousness to commune with God.

To feel God’s presence requires giving up our thoughts about anything in this world – to give up praying for something, about something. Only by getting outside of the human realm can we ever hope to contact God.

God Is Present; Right Here, Right Now

Author: Galoo

Butterflies Are Free

One searches, during his lifetime, for God in many places. Some travel across the ocean and around the world in search of answers to an unknown inner longing. It has been taught that God will be found in books, temples, holy places.

Because Orthodox religion teaches God is to be found in heavenly places, many believe they’ll finally find God when their human life here on earth is absolved. One’s human life is filled with so many human activities, is it no wonder they never find Him? To be still and listen reveals God to be right here, where “I AM”. There is no spot where God is not.

The revelation to this truth often comes when one least expects it. It comes when one is in the very depths of what the human experience would identify as “negative situations”. It comes when one finds himself in “hell”, not in “heaven”. It comes when one comes to the “end of his rope”, when all else fails.
