When I got my Blackberry phone I was excited about setting custom ring tones for my incoming calls. But I wanted to have my own personal “special” rings for special friends.

That’s when I started searching for how to make my own ring tones.  YES!

Easy with the right tools.

1. I wrote down the names of my closest friends and those who call me the most.

2. I thought about who they are, what they like, how they interact with me and others.

3. I searched my music files and CDs to find songs that would reflect their personalities. Some people I even asked, “What’s your favorite song?”

4. I wrote beside each person’s name, the song that best suited them, including songs I knew were favorites of theirs.

5. I downloaded a ring-tone making program.

6. I dropped the song into the timeline, cut it where I wanted the track to be, and VIOLA!

7. I saved the ringtone that’s special to a particular friend, each in turn! I uploaded the ringtones to my Blackberry phone and assigned them to the proper name.

Here are a couple of the tones I currently use. Feel free to use them as well, or create your own custom ringtones using this great ringtone maker software program! (Or send them on to your friends for them to use.)
