The Business of Social Networking On Facebook

The Business of Social Networking On FacebookBecause I have diverse interests, I can easily spend the majority of my days and evenings in front of the computer. I visualize this expansive world of Internet and see all the people who may need what I have (knowledge, experience, etc).

My friends say, “Get away from that computer!” And, I do socialize some to their delight.

I’ve read much about social networking and how it can affect one’s business. Social networking is a mainstay of today’s inter-relationships, whether it be family, friends, acquaintances, or clients.

I’ve spent a small fortune in the past for Google Ad-Words advertising campaigns. They work; providing you have keyword-specifics and a large market of potential clients who are interested in your offer. That’s the trick. So far, I haven’t found where Google allows you (or me) to specify an age target.

So, I have my “Behavior Solution“. This “get-control-of-your-child” manual and guidebook is a digital download. I have Google Ad-Words running. Facebook, however, also has PPC ads that target parents. I’ve created an ad (with photo image) targeting my “Behavior Solution” kit to parents 30-40 years old on Facebook. These are people who may have children 7-14, who fit the logistics of my product. After all, why would I want my ad shown to people of irrelevancy.

I’m not particularly fond of marketing my own products to friends and family on Facebook. What I do want to do, however, is let the world of Facebook see my products and respond to them if interested.

This is what social networking can do for my business and hopefully, to yours as well.
